Disney Cruise Line: 7-Night Western Caribbean Cruise

View of Disney Fantasy from Castaway Cay!

Mjau, we have been on several Disney Cruises but this is the first one we will blog about. We did the 7-Night Western Caribbean Cruise from Port Canaveral with Disney Fantasy. We also had a pirate night and Star Wars day at sea.
Before the Cruise we stayed at Port Orleans – French Quarter. We took the Disney Cruise Line Transport bus to Port Canaveral. It was so exciting! We stayed in the Standard Inside Stateroom. The room has a magical porthole. The porthole shows real-time views of the ocean from the ship during the day. During the night you can see the calm ocean and bright stars in the clear night sky. Our butler insists the night scenery is fake but we do not think so. Every so often you can see Disney characters through the porthole. It is all fun and games until Mr Potato Head starts stalking you! MJAU!

Our cabin at Disney Fantasy!

Mjau, we really liked the lamps. You can see the parks and ships on the map and there are Mickey heads at the bottom!

Mjau, really lovely Disney nautical themed room decorations.

There are many nice Disney details in nautical themes in the stateroom. The lamps had a nice map with the Disney ships and Disney parks on them. The picture on the wall also has character outlines with ropes. The towels and curtains also have hidden Mickeys on them. We had a double bed and a couch which can be made to a single bed. The bathroom is fine although it is on the small side. Our butler had a difficult time showering during stormy waters.

Disney Cruise Line has really nice shampoo bottles
Bathroom with many Disney details. Mickey on towels and shower curtain.

One of the best things about the room is all the free Disney movies you can watch and the background music. We always keep the music on during the night when we stay at Disney hotels. Mjau, sometimes we have nightmares and wake up during the night. We instantly feel safe when we wake up and see the blaring tv screen and hear the Disney music. Mjau, the music on the ship is different from the hotels. The hotels have an instrumental loop while the ship plays the full song. Mjau, it is fun that the ship also plays less popular songs.

Day 1
The Walt Disney Theatre.

The first day we were just relaxing around the ship and taking in all the Disney details. Mjau, in the evening we went to the theatre with the entire family to see the Comedy and Magic show by John Cassidy. It was so much fun as he made fun of children! Mjauhihi! Then we ate at the Enchanted Gardens. We had the tuna-avocado tower as appetiser, scallops as main course and pecan pie as dessert.

Mjau, the delicious tuna-avocado tower with wasabi.

Scallops! Delicious!

Pecan Pie as dessert, mjau.

Mjau, so fun to get another butler-server! We also have another butler that makes our bed and gives us chocolate. He also makes cool animals out of the bed throw.
Mjau, the butler that paid for the trip slept in the double bed with half of us. Our parasite butler slept on the couch and made a bed for the rest of us on the table.

Mjau, delicious Ghirardelli chocolate on the bed!
Our small bed in the cabin!

Day 2 Day at Sea

Si and Au having fun at The Tube

Captain Hooki-Si writing in her diary that she made at The Tube, mjau!

Mjau, we watched Snow White and the Seven Dwarves while our butlers ate breakfast at the buffet. Then the Siamese sisters went to The Tube on a fun art and crafts event. There we made fun cruise passports that we used as a diary for the rest of the trip. Mjau, so much fun but also a lot of kids. We were a bit shy so our butlers had to gather all the materials for us so we could be creative in our little corner booth.  Mjau, then we went to the buffet and ate some more. The desserts are so delicious mjau!

Caribbean princess Au enjoying Tiramisu at the buffet!

We really like that we can just go eat anytime we want and do not have to worry about bringing a wallet or reserving a table.
Mjau, as it was our day at sea we just decided to relax and see all the art and details in the ship. Mjau! We found pictures of us, Si and Am, on the wall and also on the ceiling! So exciting!
We found Si and Am on the ceiling!

Another fun painting of Si and Am! Mjau!

They also have a cinema that you can go to. It is nice to just go there and not have to worry about getting tickets. We saw Mary Poppins Returns. Mjau, it was fun but not as good as the original movie. Mjau, we think one of our butlers was really sad as Bert was not in this movie. Our Butler loves Bert and thinks he is the perfect man, mjauhihi!

Mjau, a Minnie Mouse statue!

Mjau, wonderful art on the ship!
So many fun Disney details everywhere on the ship!

Mjau, we went to a Disney Music Trivia. Si played against our butler and won! They would play a little bit of a song on the piano and you had to write down name of song, movie and answer a bonus question. Mjau, it was good that you wrote down the answers and then went through the answers. Not as stressful as having to yell the correct answers, mjau!

What a beautiful and magical Cinderella painting!

Mjau, what a colourful chandelier!

In the evening we went to see Wishes a Broadway style musical in the Walt Disney Theatre. Mjau, we really enjoyed the show! Compared to the different shows this one was our favourite. It felt original and we liked the characters. We liked that part of it took place at a Disney park. It would be fun if they made a movie of this as well.

We had dinner at the Royal Court. Mjau, we really liked all the detail in the room. There was mosaic paintings of Disney royal couples. On the ceiling there was Cinderella’s slippers. Even the breadbasket was Cinderella’s pumpkin carriage! We had a delicious poached pear salad as appetizer, lamb and duck as main course and chocolate cake as dessert. Mjauhihi, one of our butlers choked on a duck bone. The revenge of Donald Duck! Fortunately she did not die as otherwise we might have to stay at cheaper hotels in the future.

The dessert menu comes in a nice envelope!
Mjau, there is the bread basket in the background!
Mjau, the lamb! Heimlich would not like brussel sprouts.
"Bläh, brussel sprouts!"

Yummy, chocolate dessert!

Day 3- Cozumel, Mexico

Captain Hook-Si exploring Cozumel!

Captain Hook-Si returning to the ship!
Mjau, we started the morning by watching Sleeping Beauty while our butlers ate breakfast. This day we arrived at Cozumel, Mexico. This was the port we were least excited to visit. It felt a bit unsafe so only three of us Siamese sisters left the ship. Mjau, we immediately regretted leaving the ship. It would have been nice but the people there were really stressful. They kept asking us if we need a taxi and tried to trick us to come to their store. Mjau, scary. They even started asking our butlers if they want a boyfriend. Mjau, it was horrible. Especially after spending a day at sea in the magical safety of Disney Fantasy. Mjau, in the end our butlers found a nice shop where they did not stress us. Mjau, we found several pool floaties in our size. There were flamingos, unicorns, ducks and crabs. Our butler bought the crab floaty as we already had a flamingo. Then we rushed back to safety to Disney Fantasy.

Captain Hook-Si creating a 3D pirate Mickey!

Pirates Day at Sea gifts! Mjau!

At the ship we went to another arts and crafts event for adults only. We made a 3D pirate Mickey. Tonight was also Pirate Night so we got gifts in the room. We watched Oliver and Company in our room to relax after a stressful hour in Cozumel. We also watched Ralph breaks the internet at the Cinema. It was fun to watch the Disney princesses.

After that we went up on the deck to watch the pirate show and fireworks. So windy that my whiskers almost flew away! The show was disappointing. We liked the song but they had too much audience participation. Mjau, and we would rather see Captain Hook and Smee or just Mickey dressed as a pirate. Jack Sparrow was there for a bit but otherwise it was only three pirates we have never seen before. Mjau, and they spent too much time asking strange kids and parents where they are from and what they do for a living. Mjau, we do not care! We are on vacation! We were lucky to be on the upper deck and Donald and Daisy came to surprise us dressed as pirates. So much fun! We went to dinner at Animators Palate. We had soup, the Tuna Steak and the deconstructed carrot cake. After that we had dinner and went to bed and watch Muppets Treasure Island since it was pirate night.

The delicious Tuna Steak, mjau!

Deconstructed Carrot Cake!

Day 4 George Town, Cayman Islands

Mjau, one of our butlers got sick. It was not fun to wake up to the sounds coming from the restroom. We think it was food poisoning, mjau. Our other butler took us out on the deck to take pictures. Then we went to George Town, Cayman Island. You had to take a smaller boat there as the port and docks were not big enough for the boat. Mjau, there we saw another Disney Cruise Line Ship as well. Mjau, the incompetent butler started to feel sick again so she went back to the ship while the other one walked around George Town.

Mjau, we found this funny fellow in our room one day!

George Town was a lot less stressful than Cozumel and the people left you alone.
The Siamese that stayed on the ship just had a Disney Movie marathon with our sick butler. Mjau, we were so disappointed in our butler. They had the Aladdin musical show in the theatre that evening. We were disappointed in the show. It was the same as the movie only they did not have Abu and Rajah in the show. Mjau, the genie was so annoying. They could have spent more time on other scenes or added more scenes to the show. Instead they had genie telling jokes that were not funny. We did not appreciate him saying bad things about Kim Kardashian. Mjau, that was really low of him and made us enjoy the show less. There was also a moment in the show where Genie just stood there and said “awkward” for a couple of minute. I do not understand why the audience was laughing. Mjau, no quality in the comedy! Mjau, we enjoy shows that are more high class than that, like Country Bear Jamboree. We would rather listen to Big Al perform Blood on the Saddle for 45 minutes than see that show again. Mjau! We decided to go with our sick butler and take a nap out on the deck in the moonlight to calm ourselves down. Mjau, our other butler went to dinner. We decided to sleep in the double bed with that butler that night. As we did not want to risk upsetting ourselves by seeing the face of our sick butler.

Enjoying a delicious pastry at Vista Cafe, mjau!

Mjau, delicious options at Vista Cafe!

Day 5 Falmouth, Jamaica

Captain Hook-Si found some rhum barrels in Jamaica, mjau!

Mjau, Falmouth was worse than Cozumel. Every five seconds a new person asked if we want a taxi and started walking with us. Mjau, scary! Every time our butler got rid of one, another one showed up. Mjau, we do not need a taxi! They kept saying they are friendly, but they did not feel friendly. Mjau, we are smart kittens! We know Leroy Brown is a fake name and you are trying to trick us! We were expecting it to be more nature and beaches.

Si, Am and Er enjoying a walk in Falmouth, Jamaica, mjau!

Mjau, at the port with Disney Fantasy in the background!

Mjau, our butlers brought us quickly back to the secure port and went to Margaritaville for a cocktail. We had lunch on the ship again and then went on a Disney Theme Park Trivia. Mjau, Si won over our butler again! We also did origami lessons which was a bit boring. We only did an easy origami boat and two different Yoda origami. Mjau, we also played some foosball on the deck. We had dinner and went to bed.

Siam and Am dancing on the deck, mjau!

Si and Au enjoying a sunny day on the deck in Jamaica.

Day 6 Day at Sea Star Wars

The Death Star is right outside our window and Darth Vader is aboard our ship!

Mjau, we first woke up in the middle of the night and could hear Darth Vader’s theme song. We fell back asleep. Mjau, then we woke up again with a fright when we could hear someone saying “I am Boba Fett” with a creepy voice. Mjau, so scary! Then we realized we had been invaded by Darth Vader! Our butlers were in a panic and started screaming in fear. Mjau, so stressful. No Disney music was playing, only Star Wars battle songs. When we left the room we could see storm troopers patrolling the ship.  We went on the deck to sunbathe and relax. Mjau, even there we were not safe from Darth Vader! The ship horn played the Darth Vader theme song which was really intimidating. We can only imagine what the ships nearby were thinking! Over the PA system they informed us Darth Vader had taken over the ship. Mjau, scary! Then some of us went to O’Gills Pub for an animator course. Mjau, we expected it to be more advanced since it was adults only. However it was only regular drawing, Chewie and Jack Skellinton. Mjau, it was a bit embarrassing when they showed everyone our drawing as we were so talented. It’s not easy being extraordinary.

Star Wars Day at Sea decorations!

Then we decided to play the detective game on the ship, Midship Detective Agency. The boys helped Mickey Mouse solve The Case of the Plundered Paintings. Mjau, it was a lot of fun. You held your badge up to the magic paintings and a scene would play. Sometimes you did a mini game as well. You get a clue with each painting. After you solve who the guilty one is, you catch him. Mjau, Captain Hook was the guilty one.  Mjau, it was more fun than we thought it would be. Although our butler got really tired from running up and down the stairs. We even had to have a coffee break at the café and eat some cinnamon buns. The boys liked it so much that we decided to help Pepe the King Prawn solve The Case of the Stolen Show. Mjau, strange, but Mickey Mouse was out for lunch so we had to settle. Mjau, it was more difficult that the missing painting mystery. It was fun to search for clues not only in the magic paintings, but from calling boards and Pepe’s door as well. In the end we figured out who it was that stole the show. Camilla was the guilty one. But she did it for love, so we forgive her.

The boys are ready to become detectives and help Mickey!

The boys with their badge and clues, mjau.

In the evening we went to the Walt Disney Theatre. Mjau, they had another stand-up comedian. It was a good show. We think it was some sort of musical performance as well. We could not really tell. Not really that memorable. They made fun of some people from the audience. Mjau, we are not really a big fan of audience participation. We would have preferred a show with Star Wars characters since it is Star Wars day at sea. Like public execution with Darth Vader would be a fun little show, where we would not mind a little audience participation, mjauhihi. Mjau, one of our butlers just reminded us that it was a ventriloquist show. We think we remember some talking pigs and a creepy looking boy. Now that we remember some of it, it was actually quite funny.

Mjau, we tried asking Pepe the King Prawn for help, but he did not answer the door.

Day 7 Castaway Cay

Mount Rustmore at Disney's Castaway Cay!

Mjau, Castaway Cay was the port we were looking the most forward to. Mjau, Disney’s own Island! It was the most clean place of them all and really relaxing. No one asked if we wanted a taxi. We walked around the island and did some sightseeing. They had a barbecue on the island but we decided to eat lunch on the ship instead. It was fun to see the Disney details on the Island but it looked a bit deserted. Mjau, imagine if they actually had a castle! It would be fun if Disney had several islands and each of them had a theme. We really want to see a Corona themed city. We don’t need rides, only music and magical buildings!

Relaxing on a hammock by the beach, mjau!

We went to the adult only beach which was more relaxing. Very few people and so quiet without kids. Mjau, the waves were really big. Si and Am decided to go swimming with the floaties. Mjau, waves were so big we fell off several times and had to swim. Our butlers just laughed at us! Mjau! They were there to make sure we did not drown or get dragged to the ocean but did not help us at all. Mjau, so cold. We had to stay wrapped in towels the rest of the day so we would dry.

Mjau, a crashed plane!

Mjau, after the lunch on the ship we decided to relax by the pool. We had a nice view of the island and got some cookies and coffee. We decided to go in the pool with floaties and boat since we were already wet.

Having fun with our floaties and boat in the pool, mjau!
Enjoying a wonderful view of Castaway Cay.

In the evening we went to see the Believe! musical.  The show was fine and we liked that they had Merlin and Mary Poppins that are usually not in shows. Pocahontas was there too! Mjau, it was annoying that the Genie was there again all the time. We do not remember him being this annoying in the movie or in other Aladdin shows that we have watched.

Enjoying some sushi!

We went to the D23 presentation and were disappointed that they only showed trailers and not anything about the parks. Then we went to dinner at Animators Palate. Mjauhihi, the show was a lot better than last time. No crush to bother us. We made drawings and later got to see them dancing on screen with other Disney characters. Mjauhihi, our butlers made hideous creatures!
After that we went to Ooh La La for a drink since it was our last night on the ship. Mjau, it was so quiet and romantic and we were the only ones there. Then suddenly a big group of loud people came to the bar as well. Mjau! Our butler was really close to embarrassing us. The server was talking about his home country and how they are big on carnivals. Mjauhihi! Our butler thought he said they are big on cannibals and that January to March is cannibal season! Mjauhihih, how embarrassing! In the morning we ate breakfast at the buffet and then took the bus back home to Walt Disney World.

Tokyo Disney Resort 2023 May

Our butler had never visited Tokyo Disneyland before so we decided to drag our butler out of their cave and generously treat them to a week ...
