We decided to book an apartment in Lahti while we figure out what to do next. They have good train and bus connections in Lahti so our butler can keep looking for a new job. We were pleasantly surprised by the apartment. It is very nice and cozy. It is bigger than we expected and has a nice interior design. Our new home for the next two weeks. A nice twin bed for our butler. We sleep on the chair. A small kitchen. It was so cold in Lahti, -15 degrees Celsius. Our butler had to brave the cold weather and walk to the store to buy a knit hat and some jeans for colder weather. It's still a proper winter in Lahti. Runeberg's day is on the 5th of February so we bought some peasoup from the store as it is tradition to eat pea soup. We also made a couple of visits to our favourite café in Lahti: Kahvila Kariranta. Such a wonderful café by the harbour.
