When planning our trip around Asia a couple of months ago we could not resist booking a flight to Taiwan. The flight from Tokyo to Taipei is affordable and takes around four hours. Mjau, we have booked a trip to Hong Kong for Christmas but after that we have not planned anything yet as of writing this. We have only booked an apartment in Kyoto for the cherry blossom season. We decided to also book an apartment in Taipei instead of staying in a hostel. Although we would have preferred a luxury hotel! Our apartment was in New Taipei City in the Sanchong District. It is bigger and cleaner (no cockroaches!) than the one in Tokyo. However we have no kitchen, only a kettle and refridgerator. The apartment is on the fifth floor with no elevator! To our butler's joy our AirBnB host carried our large suitcase all the way to the top like Tarzan!

First thing we did was walk over the bridge to Ximending. Mjau, Ximending is just across the Tamsui River from our apartment! Although it takes almost half an hour to walk across it! We walked around some shops and had a Taiwanese Burger from the same spot at last year. We have not yet found the guy that sold several different flavours of eggtarts. We will have to try again during the weekend. There were some strange women with traditional Hindu clothing that were dancing and chanting outside The Red House. They turned out to be Hare Krishna. We quickly escaped the noise and instead found people that looked like they had stepped out of a Chinese historical drama. Turns out it was a Hanfu festival in Taipei in celebration of the International Hanfu Day. Much more interesting to look at than the Hare Krishna people.
Before heading back to our appartment we stopped by Don Don Donki (Don Quiotte!) and got some snacks. We got a bag of apple pie Kit Kats, that we regretted not buying from Tokyo as we were not able to find them again, and a box of Pepero. Mjau, we got a big box of the almond chocolate ones. The Pepero boxes have pictures of Stray Kids on them so our butler was much more agreeable to get them for us. Mjau! We should carry around stickers of Stay Kids and BTS members and stick them on everything we want to get so our butler will buy them for us! The apple pie Kit Kats were not as good as we expected. An odd aftertaste and we would have preferred milk or dark chocolate coating over white chocolate.

The next morning we decided to explore the nearby New Taipei Metropolitan Park. First we got breakfast from a bakery. Mjau we got a delicious sandwich roll with corn, pork floss, ham and lettuce. Delicious! We also got a pineapple bun that we were disappointed by. We thought it would be like a Melon Pan but with pineapple filling instead of melon filling. Mjau, there was no filling. Mjau! We got déjà vu! We think we were tricked by the treasurous pineapple bun last year too!

In the evening it was time for us to go looking for some night markets so we could have dinner. We first walked to the Sanghe Night Market but did not find anything particularly tempting so we took the MRT to Xinyi and went to the Linjiang Night Market instead. We got a pork and green onion pie and a pork and green onion egg pancake.

We then walked over to Taipei 101 and were pleasantly surprised when we found the outside decorated for Toy Story 30th Anniverary. So festive and so many shimmering lights!

Another day we went to the Uni-president Department Store to observe their Christmas display. This year they have a Venice themed Christmas display. We do not understad the hype behind Venice as it was one of the most hideous cities we have been to! So much wasted potential as the city would be magical with some better upkeeping. Anyway, the Venice display was nice and we got some nice photos with Taipei 101 in the background.

In the evening we walked to the famous Raohe Night Market. We could see several people lining up for one stand so we decided to join the line. As the rule goes for night markets it is best to join the lines that are long with locals as they are usually the best. It turns out it was a stand for some pork and green onion meat pies. Mjau! The meat pie was delicious and the best one we have had so far. The bun had a crunchy/crispy crust and lots of filling. We then found a stall selling Thai Papaya Sallad and we could not resist as we could really use some more vegetables after all the street food snacks. Our butler was worried it would be too spicy so they stopped by a 7 Eleven to get a bottle of juice. We then went to sit by the river near the Rainbow Bridge. There happened to be a performer there so we got some atmospheric live music with our dinner. The sallad was tasty and fresh and not as spicy as the one we had in Bangkok. Our butler did not start crying while eating it this time, mjauhihi.

We decided we need to start looking for cozy cafes once more. We decided to go exploring near Daan Park as we remember there being some good spots from the previous year. We found Sounds Good cafe. A nice small cafe with music playing from vinyl records. Mjau, we were pleased we could actually recognize some of the songs playing. They played the famous song (nada sou sou) by Rimi Natsukawa. So nostalgic, we have not listened to that song in over ten years! The cafe seemed to be quite popular with foreigners. We got the brown sugar coffee latte and the banana bread. Mjau, we were very impressed by the banana bread. We got two slices with banana brûlée and vanilla ice cream with lemon zest on top. Delicious and luxurious! In the evening we walked around the are in search of some night markets but we ended up taking the MRT to Ximen and went to the night market there instead. We got some Taiwanese Pork Ribs that our gluttanous butler ate before we could take a photo! We also got a stringy cheese chinese omelette that was delicious. We could not resist going to Donki again and got some more snacks. We got two types of Pepero "Oreo" Choco Cookie as well as a bag of pesto pizza chips. As of yet we have only tried the white Pepero sticks and they were tasty although we prefer them to be milk chocolate covered. The chips were not as good as we had hoped for. We would have liked a stronger pesto taste. But it is a nice savoury treat for movie nights. Did we already mention we have a television in our apartment? With HBO and Cinemax playing non dubbed movies in English!

There was a Taipei European Winter Festival held at the Xinyi shopping district from Thursday 27th of November to sunday 30th November so we decided to go on Friday. It was not as crowded as we expected. We had seen anxiety inducing pictures from the German Christmas Market in Taipei. We were not interested in the scheduled programs so we went before they started in hopes of fewer crowds. Mjau, it seems our tactic worked well! They sold hot chocolate, mulled wine and sandwiches and waffles and the sort. We got a velvety smooth hot chocolate (it wad the cheapest hot cocoa option in the market, 100 ntd) and it was thick, rich and velvety smooth. We also got a gingerbread cookie from the same stall. It was one of the French stalls. It reads Petits & Grands Biscuits so we guess that is the name of the company. There was also o Finland themed stand, but they only sold boxes of waffles. The Finest Finnish Butter Waffle by Valio. Mjau, we have never heard of this waffle before. The Swedish stall only sold candles to our disappointment. We were hoping for gingerbread cookies or glögg from at least one of the nordic stands. We will have to visit Ikea instead.

We decided to pay Taipei Expo Park a visit. We read that there is a farmers market on weekends so we went on a Saturday. Mjau, it turns out that it is here that the German Christmas Market that we tried to avoid is held. Lots of people everywhere! There was also a bistro festival and a flower exhibit. They also had a stand where they served free sprite. Our butler told us we could pretend we are in Epcot. Mjau! This was nothing like Epcot! The food stalls were not that interesting. The German Christmas Market had glĂĽhwein, sausages and such. We got a Hawaiian "pizza" from one of the stalls. It had a thin crispy crust and was nice for a light snack. We also got a tea drink with guava that our butler once again did not take a picture of! The insolence! The food trucks in the bistro festival had a bit more options to choose from. However it was mostly also pizza, tacos, grilled meat and hot dogs. There was also a tent where a live band played so we sat there for a while to cool down as it was really sunny and hot.

The admission to the flower exhibit was free so we had a look around. So many pretty flowers but none as pretty as us! They even had birds of paradise flowers! Although they refused to sing to us! Perhaps they are on a break from The Enchanted Tiki Room.

From the Taipei Expo Park we walked to Zhongshan Nanxi Shopping District. Mjau, they once again had a Disney themed display. This time a Zootopia 2 themed. There was also a market going on. It was here that we found the egg tarts we had been looking for in Ximending! We got one coffe and chocolate and one caramel and pink salt. It was already dark and crowded so we decided to take the MRT back home. We will have to return during the day to take pictures and to get more eggtarts. Perhaps a lemon and sweet taro tart?

We wanted to visit a cafe again so we went to Daan Park and searched around for a suitable cafe. We walked past many small shops with christmas decorations and we even saw a window where they sold the most delicious looking banana chocolate bread. Our butler said we can come back here on our way home as we wanted a cafe with seating. We found YABOO cafe. We got the Malibu Coconut Rum Hot Cocoa and taro cake. The hot chocolate was delicious, although perhaps we would have liked a little more rum in our cocoa. The taro cake was interesting. It was not too sweet and the texture was unusual, perhaps similar to mochi. We walked around the neighbourhood a bit more and then walked by the bakery window. Mjau! To our utter horror all the banana bread were gone! Mjau! Once again our butler has failed us! Our butler said we can just come back another day. Mjau, do they not understand our pain? Later is not going to settle us as we want banana bread now! Immediately!
We then walked to the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall to relax a bit and to watch the sunset so we could settle down. We decided we would like to have some egg tarts instead. Mjau! The egg tart cart was not there tonight! Perhaps it is only available during the weekends? Perhaps it was an illusion concocted by our banana bread deprived minds.
On our way back to our apartment we saw a cart selling some dumplings. Only 8 ntd each! We bought some for dinner. We were still craving something sweet. Fortunately we had bought some snacks from the Carrefour supermarket.

Close to the big Carrefour Supermarket is Ikea. We went there to get a slice of Daim cake. They did not seem to serve lingonberry jam with the meatballs so we just got crispy chingen as a savoury treat. We hoped the would have Annas Pepparkakor but they did not.

We also visited the Miniatures Museum of Taiwan. The entrance was 250 ntd and we think it was well worth the price! We really like miniature houses. We share the same hobby as our idol Walt Disney! Although he was more interested in miniature trains. He also had a very impressive collection of miniature teacups which are on display in Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco. When we were in Chicago we also visited the Thorne Miniature Rooms exhibit at the Art Institute of Chicago.
When we settle down more permanently we want to have a miniature house in our apartment. We could all have our own bedroom and decorate it however we want! In Ă…land our butler made us small rooms made from cardboard boxes. Mjau, better than sleeping on a hard bookshelf but we want a real miniature house! This museum gave us many ideas! They had installations with only a room as well as entire houses and miniature streets. The Rose House was perhaps the most spectacular. There was another one which you could open and close completely that we also really liked. Unfortunately we forgot the name of the house. Houses like these two are the ones we would like to have in our apartment.

There was also several miniatures from classic Disney movies! Sometimes they even played Disney background music! They had miniatures of Snow White, Pinocchio, Peter Pan and Mary Poppins. They also had a small one with Cinderella that we forgot to take pictures of. They also had Alice in Wonderland, however it was not the Disney version.

There was also a collection of dolls from different countries. Barbies dolls, paper dolls from Mexico and dolls from Canada made of corn to name a few.

There were also displays with fantasy elements that were fun. They had a woodland forest scene with fairies and a mediterrainean town with dinosaurs. They also had several Tudor style houses and a miniature Buckingham Palace.

After the museum we decided to walk to Daan Park and see if they had any chocolate banana bread left today from the bakery window. Which we found out it is named The Cinnamon Tree. Mjau! No banana bread for us! They only had some cinnamon buns and cookies left. We found out they have a second location only a 15 minute walk away so we decided to head there. Mjau, finally we got to try the chocolate banana bread! It was as delicious as we had hoped for. On the top were pieces of chocolate chips and banana. It was still a bit warm so the chocolate was soft and gooey. Afterwards we walked around the neighbourhood and the grounds of National Taiwan University. On our way back we walked past a cafe we could not resist! They had christmas decorations and played christmas music at choco.Brownies bakery and cafe. It was a small shop and we could see them preparing the brownies. They had several different flavours to choose from. We decided on a chewy cookie brownie and hot cocoa. Mjau, they even warmed the brownie for us so it was extra delicious! We will have to visit again and try some other flavours!

We went to visit the National Palace Museum as we have heard great things about it. They have several artifacts from Beijing Palace Museum and the Forbidden City that are interesting to observe. The entrance fee was 350 ntd, so quite expensive but still a lot cheaper than some art museums. It is worth visiting once but we would not revisit the museum. The had old books and scrolls on display and a lot of pottery. They also had a large bronze and jade collection as well as a couple of ivory items. Our favourite was the curio boxes! We spent around two hours walking around the museum.

After the museum visit we started craving chocolate so we took the MRT to another coco.Brownie location. This one is close to the National Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall. This one is bigger and has more seating available. Mjau it is also decorated with more trinklets. This one also plays christmas music. We saw that they served mulled wine so we could not resist having some. Mjau, the mulled wine was quite expensive. Over 300 ntd, we forgot the exact price. You got to choose between hot or iced mulled wine. Mjau, we have never heard of iced mulled wine before! We also got another brownie, the mocha coffee one.
After grabbing a cherry cream cheese brownie to go we wanted something savoury, so we walked to the Raohe Night Market for another delicious meat pie.

Our butler knows someone from Taiwan that invited them to go to Sun Moon Lake with them and their family. Mjau, we decided to come along although we felt a bit shy. We took the HSR to Taichung where we met them. Mjau, it was so much warmer in the middle of the country! They bought boat tour tickets so we went around the lake to two stops. The first one was a short one where there was a temple and some singing and we got a tea boiled egg. The second stop we walked around the food stalls and our guide for the day bought us snacks. We were too shy to leave the handbag but our ravenous butler kept eating the provided snacks until they almost burst!
We then took cable cars up to the mountain and back and went on the electrical paddle boats. Mjau, Au wanted a quick picture but the daughter saw Au and asked to hold her. Mjau! She then asked if Au was a seagull!! Mjau she is a cute cat! We then started the drive to the Taichung train station. On the way back they treated us to a hot pot restaurant! They even gave us a box of Taiwanese sweets as a present.

We decided to just relax a bit in Taipei for the next couple of days as the daytrip was really eventful. Mjau, we also wanted to take a bath, especially Au after she was held by a child. They carry so many germs! We visited the botanical garden and National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute in Taipei. They had exhibits of aboriginal Taiwanese crafts and also an exhibit of Chen Ching-lin. We liked his tye dye paintings. Afterwards we went to everywhere cafe. A cafe within a book shop. We got apple pie. Before visiting the botanical garden we made a quick stop to Feedthewife bakery. Mjau, we got a delicious sourdough bisquit. It was similar to a scone and a deliciously moist blueberry muffin.

We decided to take a short daytrip to Keelung. Mjau, we assumed it would be a smaller harbour town. Mjau! It was not the cozy town we were expecting. It was quite large and polluted. We walked to the Zhengbin Port Color Houses and did some sightseeing along the way. We got some snacks at a bakery, an eggtart and a savoury bacon bread. We had plans to walk to the Sheliao East Fort. We had to dismiss those plans as we saw a couple of dogs, possibly wild strays as they were unleashed and no owner in sight. We want to avoid rabies if possible so we turned back immediately and took the bus to the city center. We walked around some more and went to the night market. We then took the train back.

The next day was quite rainy so decided to just go to a cozy cafe. Which cafe do you ask? Coco.Brownies of course! This time we got a chicken tomato quiche, sea salt caramel brownie and an iced biscoff cappuchino drink. Not too expensive, only 405 ntd, which is around 11 euros. In finland you can barely get a coffee and pastry for that price. All the more reason to go visit as many cafes as possible while we are here. Before going to the cafe we went to Banqiao to see the Christmasland displays. Mjau, our plan was to first visit a cafe nearby and then walk around the park once Christmasland opened at 17:30. Mjau, it started raining more than we expected so we just took some quick pictures and then decided to take the mrt to coco.Brownies once again.

We visited the Taipei Expo Park again. It was Sunday so they had the farmer's market again. We also found the egg tart cart once again! We found out it is called Mr. Egg Tart and quite famous. This time we got the matcha lemon egg tart and oreo egg tart. We also visited the Taipei Rose Garden and Lin An Tai Historical House and Museum as the enstrance is free. It was nice to walk around the buildings and they also had an art exhibition.

We decided to take an overnight trip to Jiufen. We booked the Dragon Inn hotel with seaview. We took the train to Ruifeng and from there the local 1062 bus. Mjau, Jiufen is really nice since it is built on the mountains so there is a seaview throughout the town. There is also so many stairs! We decided to first check in and leave our bag and then go exploring. There are many small shops but most of them sell the same things. We also did not see any cozy cafes that we had hoped for. Everything seemed overpriced compared to the quality delivered. We went to a small cat themed cafe near our hotel and had a light lunch. They also had cats inside the cafe. We then walked around to get some free samples. They had delicious dried strawberries and cookies filled with different creams. The food was not really all that interesting and paled in comparison to the night markets in Taipei. There was not even a bakery in Jiufen! Mjau, we were shocked! We had regretfully skipped buying anything from the bakeries at Ruifeng as we were sure there would be some interesting baked goods in Jiufen. Oh, how wrong we were! Stupid butler! Fortunately there is a Family Mart and 7 eleven so we got all our food from there. Mjau, we were surprised to see that they had Fazer chocolate bars in Family Mart! We have not seen them in the stores before. They cost 75 ntd so our butler refused to buy them for us! They also had the Polish E. Wedel chocolate bars.

While we were waiting for our room to be ready we decided to walk up Mt. Keelung. Mjau! So many stairs! The view at the top was nice but the trail was quite boring as it was just stairs that were not in the best condition. Mjau, you had to constantly watch your steps. There are a couple of spots along the way with benches where you can catch your breath and enjoy the view. After our hike we got a Rum Raisin ice cream bar from Family Mart.

After finishing our ice cream we stopped by the 7 Eleven and got some more snacks. We decided to stay in our room for a bit to enjoy the view. We waited until it started getting dark out so that we could walk the streets with the lit lanterns along the shops. Mjau! It was so crowded it was almost difficult to walk. People stopping in the strairs to take photos constantly and blocking the road. No spacial awareness! Our butler is not above pushing people, gently, to the side if they are blocking the way so we got through the crowded area quite quickly and walked the quiet side streets instead.

We woke quite early the next morning so we got some breakfast from Family Mart. On our way to the convenience store we walked around the streets again and it was basically empty! So nice to walk around, although no shops were open yet. We got some pictures and then had breakfast in our room.

After checking out of the hotel we decided to go to Jinguashi. We saw that there is a free shuttle bus, F802, to Jinguashi. Unfortunately after 15 minutes of waiting the bus had not yet arrived. Google maps showed that it was delayed and the estimated arrival time kept moving up. Mjau, we decided to walk to the next bus stop instead. There we could see on the screens that the shuttle would arrive in 61 minutes. Mjau! Fortunately we could see the reliable 1062 bus coming and got on it instead. We got off at Quanjitang stop and started walking the trail to Baoshishan Lookout. The view was really nice. Our butler managed to step in a puddle so we had to sit and take a break while waiting for the damp sock and shoe to dry. We then started walking the Teapot Mountain Trail. The trail is much more enjoyable than the Mount Keelung trail. We ended up walking all the way to the top and had a nice break at Baoshi Pavilion. The view is so nice and the breeze felt good. We could see the clouds starting to get darker so we headed down in case it would begin to rain. We imagine the trail would get dangerous if wet. Our butler was also not the best prepared for our hike as they were wearing jeans and carrying our overnight bag. After walking down we explored the Qitang old street and the rainbow staircase. Mjau, the town felt a bit like a ghost town. We could not really see any open cafes or restaurants. We saw a Family Mart on the map so we headed that way. There we found a nice building with Ghibli decor. There were some museums, gift shops, police station and post office. There was also a gold themed giftshop that sold chocolate and champagne with gold. We did not end up buying anything and decided to catch the bus to Ruifeng.

After arriving in Ruifeng we walked around the Food Court a bit before getting a pork steamed bun. We then took the train to Songshan. We got some dinner at Raohe night market before heading home. We had delicious soup dumplings and some sort of fried pork bun.

The next day we were quite tired and our butler complained about sore legs so we decided to be generous and let our butler have a laundry day instead. We made them get us some snacks from a nearby bakery. We got a roll with tuna filling and a goji berry walnut bread. Later in the evening while buying groceries from the nearby Carrefour we saw the waffles that we previously saw at the Finnish stall at the European Christmas Market. We could not resist buying a pack as it was only 29 ntd. Mjau! The waffles were not as we had expected! We assumed it would be a single large waffle, similar to a belgian waffle. Instead it was a bag of crispy mini waffles. Nice as a little snack, but we will not be buying them again.

We also went to Beitou to visit the hot spring museum and thermal valley. It was nice to get out of the city for a bit. The thermal valley was smaller than we expected but thankfully the sulphur smell was not so bad. After walking around for a bit we started to get hungry. We found a bakery on the way to the train station. We got a delicious sesame salt bread. We decided to stop by the Taipei Expo Park as we heard there was a African Christmas event. Mjau, there was not any African food, only samosas. Fortunately the regular farmer's market was open with several food trucks. There was also the Tokyo Coffee Festival. However it was a ticketed event so we did not go. We only got a small pizza from one of the trucks as we were low on cash. We stayed for a bit as they had nice live music in the park. Later in the evening we walked along the Xinzhongshan Linear Park to get to the underground malls to do some shopping. At the park we found the Mr Egg Tart cart once again. To our horror we only had 25 ntd in our pocket! We quickly rushed to the closest 7 Eleven to get some cash from the ATM. Mjau, there our butler started to get stressed as they were not able to withdraw cash. Turns out the fool put in the wrong pin code. After trying again with the correct pin we were able to get our cash for the egg tarts. We got the sesame one and could not resist getting the chocolate coffee one once again as well.

The next day our butler wanted to do some laundry and pack our suitcase for our next destination so we had a relaxing day watching Lifetime movies. We also went on a walk along the river to the nearby Duckling Park. On our way back we stopped by a bakery where they had several free samples of bread. We also found out that the construction near the MRT station was actually for a shopping mall, Citylink, and today was the opening date. So many people! Unfortunate that it opened when we only have two day left in Taipei.

On our last day we wanted to have the chocolate banana bread again so we headed to the Daan Park. First we got a scallion pancake that is famous in the area. We got one with egg and ham. Mjau! The bakery did not have any banana bread! Not in its second location either! Mjau, we tried searching on google maps other bakeries in the area and saw that there was another coco.Brownies location in the area so we headed over there and got a cinnamon apple brownie. We then took the bus to the Xinyi shopping area. Mjau! They no longer had Christmas markets but instead had some kind of Nintendo and Mario event. We walked around the shopping malls a bit and found a Heritage bakery and cafe. Mjau, the seating area was not anything nice so we just got the delicious apple pie cake to go. Mjau! We got there just in time as it was the last one left!

The next day it was time for us to catch our flight to our next destination: Hong Kong Disneyland! Christmas at the Disney Resorts is the best. This year is the 20th Annuversary so unfortunately the Christmas celebrations are scaled down a bit. How unfortunate! On the 23rd we just walked around the resorts to take in the christmas decorations. We had gotten some snacks from Marks&Spencers in the Maritime Square shopping mall and stayed in the room while our butler was soaking in the jacuzzi outside. After our sisters arrived with their butler, we went to the Dreamer's Lookout lounge over at Explorers Lodge for a cocktail and snacks. We also got the anniversary pastry from downstairs.

On the 24th we were at the park in the morning and got breakfast from the Main Street Bakery. We headed to our hotel room in the afternoon in hopes that Santa has filled our stockings. Mjau! We did not get as many gifts we usually get as, according to our butlers, we need to save space in our suitcase. We got chocolates, cocktails, christmas jewellery, Mofusand and Zootopia figurines as well as some costumes. Mjau, someone was not happy getting the Honest John costume! We headed back to the park to ride some rides and watch the tree lighting ceremony. In the evening we went to the Grand Salon and had Espresso Martinis. Mjau! We did not get any free snacks!

On the 25th we had a reservation for the Festive Semi-Buffet Lunch at Walt's Cafe at the Disneyland Hotel. The reservations were at 13:30 so we had plenty of time to ride some rides at the park beforehand. Mjau! Our sisters' useless butler did not save their ticket on their phone and could not access the internet so they could not immediately enter the park. Mjau! We had to waste several precious minutes waiting for them at the entrance before they finally listened and went to guest relations. Mjau, we left them to sort that out as we enjoyed some rides and met up for lunch later. We got a red velvet cupcake and banana bread from Starbucks so we could have something to nibble on before lunch and save the rest as breakfast for tomorrow. We did not want to risk them running out in the evening. We should not have listened to the butler dismissing our worries and exclaiming "why would they run out?" the day before. In the evening there was little to no food left.

Mjau, the Lunch was spectacular. We had the truffle beef wellington as main course. The appetizers and desserts were buffet style. For appetizers there were different salads: mushroom and seafood for example. There was also a creamy truffle soup. The desserts were a matcha red bean roll, chocolate madeleine, chocolate cake, apple pie and a guava jelly. We think the chocolate cake or the apple pie were the most delicious. Mjau, for some reason we also got a party bag to go. Mjau, our butlers walked wearing them on the walk back to our hotel room. There we rested our tummies while watching Moana 2 on Disney+. Mjau, hotel guests get free Disney+ during their stay! In the evening we went back to the park again.

Mjau! We did not want to leave Disneyland but our butlers did not listen to our pleas! We had to stay at B P International by Kowloon Park for one night. One of the butlers decided to stay in the hotel for a longer bathroom visit so Si went first with the baby sisters to see the Disney Christmas displays at Harbour City and walk around the city a bit. It was so crowded it was stressful to take pictures. Our favourite display was the Duffy and Friends Christmas display as it was less crowded and easy to take pictures. Mjau, we got to sit in their lap for the pictures, although they looked a bit tired.
We got a coconut maple bread from the Little Mermaid Bakery and then dinner from citysuper. Later we just got snacks from the nearby 7- Eleven and stayed in all evening watching some odd Judy and Nick cartoons with their shapeshifting child. Our butlers said the series was made with AI and is therefore so strange.

The next morning we went to the Palace Place shopping mall to look at the Christmas displays over there. Mjau! So festive! It was also much less crowded than Harbour City, possibly because we arrived quite early. We then walked to the Lee Tung Street where they always have nice decorations and cafes. We went to Passione Cafe once again. We had the black sesame mousse pastry and a tropical coconut mousse pastry. There is also a Bakehouse location nearby so we got an egg tart from there. We then walked back to the shopping center and sat by the Hong Kong Park for a bit as it was so warm and sunny. We can not believe that the day prior was so cold one of the butlers wore a winter jacket and gloves. We really wanted to sit in a cafe for a bit but we could not find any cozy looking ones. We decided to see if Shangri-La hotel had a cafe. Mjau! We were glad we went there as it was decorated for christmas and the lobby lounge looked so inviting. A little after we sat down the live orchestra started playing. Mjau! They played christmas tunes as well as Disney songs! This place was made for us! We got a gingerbread iced coffee and a mango caramel mousse pastry. We then headed back to the hotel so we could get our luggage before we had to head for the airport to our next destination. Mjau! Our sisters had a later flight so they got to go with their butler back to the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel's Grand Salon Lounge for a last cocktail. Mjau! Life is so unfair! We deserve to go to Disney again too! Mjau!
