Mjau, we finally decided to try another Disney Hotel at Disneyland Paris. We usually stay in Disneyland Hotel or Sequoia Lodge. One new year we stayed at the Santa Fe Hotel but we have always wanted to try the Newport Bay Club.

Our beautiful rooms! Mau, we love the Mickey headboard! |
When we checked in it was a little bit stressful and loud as there was a character meet and greet right at the lobby. We got through the check in fairly quickly but were a bit disappointed that the rooms were not ready for another three hours. Mjau, an early check in was never an issue at the Sequoia Lodge!
Later in the afternoon we got our key to the room and were surprised that the room was on the same floor as the Compass Club rooms, on the eight floor. When arriving at the room there was only one Queen size bed, much to our butlers' horror. We went back to the reception to ask to switch rooms. At the reception they informed us that we had been upgraded to a Compass Club room. Mjau, we should have taken pictures before leaving the room! Our butlers thought about sharing the bed as it was Compass Level, but decided against it as they would not have access to the Compass Club Lounge. Mjau, the receptionist got us a new room on the fifth floor with two double beds instead.

Amazing view from our balcony! We can see the PanoraMagique hot air balloon! |
As we arrived in the room we were pleasantly surprised that the standard room was not only bigger, but the view was so much better than the Compass room. We even had a balcony! The decorations in the room is also the same as the Compass Room. Only difference that the headboard was wood coloured in the Compass Room instead of white as in the Standard Room.

Amazing details in the tapestry! Looks like a cruise ship window! |
The beds were really comfortable and soft. A little better than Sequoia but not as good as Disneyland Hotel of course. We really liked the theme of the room. It made us think of Donald Duck with the blue and white sailor theme. There were also nice character details in the tapestry. The view was one of the best parts with the room. We could see to Disney Village from our room! It was really cozy when it was dark outside and we could see the lights from Disney Village. Especially when it started raining during the day so we could just relax and cuddle in our room, mjau!

Cuddle party on the bed, mau! |
We did not try any of the restaurants or the cafe at the hotel. According to our butler it was too overpriced. Mau, our butler can be such an Edgar! The wifi also does not work in any of the restaurants which is a negative point, how are we now supposed to upload our Instagram! The lounge looks really nice and the pastries look delicious, we do however prefer Cafe Fantasia with their pianist that plays Disney Music live.
We did not go to the pool but according to our butlers the pool and the sauna were really nice. Not as cozy as the Sequoia Lodge but really nice and with a bigger whirlpool. It was a bit strange that they did not have different changing rooms for male and females.

Mau! I can see you! |
It is clear that the Newport Bay Club is copy of the Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts over at Walt Disney World. We will staying there when we are going to Walt Disney World at the beginning of October. Mjau, we will then be able to compare the two resorts and see who did it better. Mjau, we already guess the Yacht Club Resort will be much better than Newport Bay Club.
